What is a composite door

Very very few everyday people who are not in the trade know what front doors are. The term Composite Door may come up when at any time you look for completely new front doors or back doors since many double glazing manufacturers are currently promoting the product preferably instead of the regular uPVC Doors or timber doors. With luck , I might place some more light on this quite technical sounding name.

A composite in reality means a product which is constructed of a number of distinctive materials. Wooden doors are produced from timber and uPVC doors will be produced from uPVC. composite doors that are in the industry right now are usually created from: GRP (Glass Reinforced Polyester) skin inside and outside along with a timber frame work filled with polyurethane high density foam. Clearly my attempt to make this easy did not work with the previous sentence but bear with me.
